We are hugely excited to welcome John Lewis & Partners as our Headline and Bursary Sponsors for the Reuse Network Annual Conference. We’re delighted that the team at John Lewis & Partners have chosen to sponsor the conference for another year and are thankful for their continued support over the years.

2021 is a big year as it’s the year that we celebrate 10 years of the Reuse Network and John Lewis partnership. Since 2011, Reuse Network have been successfully running the John Lewis Sofa Reuse Scheme across all UK stores. Collecting customer takeback sofas from the John Lewis & Partners delivery hubs, Reuse Network members aim to give these items a second lease of life and pass them on to those in need.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our partnership with John Lewis & Partners goes from strength to strength with fantastic items being donated to Reuse Network members every year such as ex-display kitchens, ex-display bathrooms, end-of-line stock, unwanted customer returns and more which generated around a quarter of a million in 2019 for charities in the UK.

Throughout the decade-long relationship, our network of charity and social enterprise members have diversified greatly and cover way more than just furniture in order to meet the ever-changing needs of their local communities. It’s with thanks to the dedicated teams across various John Lewis & Partners sites and stores, who are prioritising stock for our members, that our network has been able to support families and individuals in need.

Through its sponsorship of the conference, John Lewis & Partners have made it possible for three Reuse Network members to attend the conference who may not have had the opportunity to attend without the available bursary places.

With just over a month to go until the conference on 11 November, we are looking forward to coming together as a network after such a long time. Throughout the day we’ll be listening to a handful of members share their stories from the past year and will get to learn some valuable insights on how to adapt and succeed.
