Reuse Network Annual Conference sponsor spotlight: Currys & DHL Envirosolutions

Posted on the 21st August 2023

This year we are pleased to welcome Currys and DHL Envirosolutions as our Drinks Reception and Gala Dinner Sponsor at the Reuse Network Annual Conference 2023.

Since 2014, Currys, DHL Envirosolutions and Reuse Network members have worked together for the reuse of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) to supply low-income households with affordable goods – this partnership provides an average 27,000 units a year in all of the UK. By repairing and reusing unwanted white goods, the scheme also provides apprenticeships and work for people who might have otherwise struggled to enter employment.

Why Currys and DHL Envirosolutions?

Currys helps everyone enjoy amazing technology; however, they choose to shop. Currys’ full range of services and support makes it easy for their customers to discover, choose, afford, recycle, and enjoy the right technology for them, throughout their lives. Currys is the largest retail e-waste recycler in the UK handling around 45% of all retail e-waste.

DHL Envirosolutions believe that all electrical appliances are valuable and through its commercial partnership with us, DHL has been able to divert thousands of products from landfill and into the hands of people who need them the most. DHL Envirosolutions offers innovative waste, recycling, compliance and energy solutions to help businesses reduce their existing carbon footprints and boost their bottom line.

We are incredibly proud to have been working with Currys and DHL Envirosolutions for such a long time and have been lucky enough to build a strong relationship with the teams. We are looking forward to spending time with the Currys and DHL Envirosolutions teams celebrating our charity members and hearing their inspiring stories across the day and night.

What to Expect

The Reuse Network Annual Conference will serve as a platform for sharing insights, strategies, and success stories in the field of reuse, making it a crucial event for those committed to building a sustainable future. Here’s what you can expect on the day:

  • Inspiring plenaries: based on the feedback we have gained from our members during our series of regional roadshows earlier this year, we have built a programme centred around what matters most to reuse charities. We’ll be hearing from experts from funding, local government, marketing, social value and more.
  • Interactive workshop: Put your questions to a panel of marketing experts and learn how to elevate your impact and craft an effective presence both online and offline.
  • Networking opportunities: connect with like-minded individuals and organisations passionate about the power of reuse.
  • A diverse exhibition hall: explore the latest products and services from organisations who have aligned themselves with the Reuse Network values and mission and are dedicated to helping reuse organisations play
