Reuse Network Commercial Manager scoops rising star award

A huge congratulations to Reuse Network’s Commercial Manager, Hannah Jordan, who was recognised as one of the top 35 rising waste sector stars at the RWM Expo 2023.

35 UNDER 35 is Letsrecycle.com’s award programme that identifies the trailblazers in the waste and recycling industry who are striving for professional excellence, promoting industry innovation and giving back to their company or community.

Nominated by Reuse Network colleagues, Hannah was shortlisted by an independent judging panel from more than 100 entries, and announced during the RWM Expo at the NEC, Birmingham, on 13 September.

Neil Grundon, chairman of Grundon, who sponsored this year’s award, praised the “great success and huge effort” of all the 35-Under-35s recognised this year, and he is looking forward to an “exciting” future for the industry. Speaking after receiving her award, Hannah said:

“I am honoured to have been recognised at the RWM Expo 2023, in the 35 under 35 awards.

I am very proud of what we have achieved over the last few years in the face of Covid, the cost-of-living crisis and the climate crisis. Our membership is solid, the services we provide are growing and we have quality support from our suppliers and commercial contracts. The reuse sector is ever changing, and we are a team of innovators moving through every peak and pit.

That said, the aim of our organisation is the continual support of the 120+ reuse charities across the UK who work tirelessly filling the economy gap whilst striving to survive. I am always inspired by their resilience and strength creating a safe space for those ostracised by society. “Social Value” was a phrase used repeatedly at the conference. Our members have been doing it for 40+ years and understand the meaning. They are living it!
