We are delighted to share that nominations for the Reuse Network Annual Conference awards are now open! The award categories this year are:
Volunteer of the Year
This award recognises a volunteer who has either improved themselves or gone above and beyond for their organisation in 2021/22. These achievements can be personal or professional and could vary from someone who has volunteered their time and helped an organisation improve in some capacity, to a person who has changed their own life through the work they have done for an organisation. The three shortlisted volunteers will be invited to attend the conference and Gala Dinner, and stay overnight, free of charge and will get to find out who the winner of the award is, in person.
Innovative Project of the Year
This award is to celebrate the successes of an innovative project which has proven greatly successful over the past year. Whether it be an inventive and modern solution to an age old problem, or an original idea which has improved the way your organisation operates. The award will recognise originality and inspired ideas and acknowledge those who have worked hard to implement them.
Reuse Organisation of the Year
Voted on by member charities and the public, this award will go to a reuse charity/ social enterprise who has made a great achievement in the past year. This can be an environmental accomplishment, for example an impressive increase in the amount of items re-used. A social success, for instance helping more people, or a group of previously neglected people who are now being reached thanks to a new idea. Or a general triumph, for example opening of a new site or pop-up shop that has been a great success.
To make a nomination, please email info@reuse-network.org.uk to request the awards nomination forms. The deadline for nomination applications is Monday 22 August.
The awards ceremony will take place after the Gala Dinner at the Reuse Network Annual Conference on 11 October.
