PWP licence and registration
As of 1 January 2016, the Reuse Network Product Weight Protocol (PWP), formally known as the FRN Average Weights List, requires the purchase of an annual licence from the Reuse Network.

On Tuesday 1st October we were hosted by our supply partners Whirlpool Corporation in Yate for our first Regional Roadshow of 2019. This came with the great benefit of being given a very interesting tour of the Hotpoint Factory. The factory makes an astounding 88 tumble dryers an hour, and a finished product comes off the belt every 10 seconds. They are a zero to landfill outlet and with a packaging manufacturer on-site, they are constantly working toward reducing waste and carbon emissions.

Through round table talks, we had plenty of discussions with our members about their operations. Through open discussions with everyone attending we were able to help and advise on these issues, as that is what the Reuse Network is all about.

In total the shops recorded more than 300,0000 items being diverted in the year, and that figure is set to grow as more shops are opened.

Reuse Network member, ILM Highland, is expanding its warranties on refurbished appliances to encourage customers to think about the environment when purchasing for their homes.
