Crest community radio: a growing success

Since re-launching live on December 16, 2024, Crest Community Radio has experienced steady growth, building its presence and expanding its reach within the community. February saw a notable 43% increase in listeners compared to January, marking a significant milestone in the station’s journey.

New developments for the much-loved station

One of the most exciting developments is the addition of 10 separate content providers, all contributing to the station’s diverse programming and helping shape the future of Crest Community Radio. In addition, the station has successfully expanded across the entire portfolio of Crest Co-operative, with recent equipment installations enabling us to reach an even wider audience.

A key update this month is that Crest Community Radio is now available on Amazon Smart Speakers. Since February 26th, listeners can simply ask Alexa to “play Crest Community Radio,” and they’ll be instantly tuned in. This new feature marks an important step in making our content more accessible and increasing our listener base.

Crest Radio is a community platform for charities, community groups and community leaders to talk about the work they are doing in the local area. It is a space for us to share and promote the good work that is going on in the local community and sign posting people to support that is available to them.

As we look ahead, we’re excited about the next few months, with plans to continue growing our listener numbers, expand our content offerings, and explore new ways to improve the station. The future is bright for Crest Community Radio, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
