1-2 May 2019

This year we are celebrating 30 years of the Reuse Network. With this major milestone in mind, have prepared a jam-packed programme over two days as well as a glamourous Gala Dinner and after-dinner entertainment.

What to expect:

Wednesday 1 May

For this first day, we will have plenary sessions focussed on changes in both the reuse and charity sector alongside cases for innovation and business diversity from the network. There will also be time to hear from top creative minds about our connections with furniture, as well as practical advice on how to make marketing campaigns exciting.

Confirmed speakers for this first day are: Debra Allcock-Tyler from the Directory of Social Change; Shaun Doran from the Furniture Resource Centre; Shaun England from toogoodtowaste; Paula Benson from Film & Furniture; and our very own CEO, Craig Anderson from the Reuse Network.

As always, we will hold our now famous ConverStations, with selected practical topics to help reuse charities pursue best practices within the sector.

Converstations

Facebook Market Place – Loyalty Scheme – Yard Sales – WEEE fund – Identifying collectables – Void clearances – New Goods and Reuse – and more…

Don’t forget to join us for a glamorous evening with Gala Dinner, awards ceremony and some exciting after-dinner entertainment!

Thursday 2 May

This second day is traditionally for Reuse Network members and close working partners only. We will be showcasing practical leadership in the network, and for the very first time, we’re holding 1.5 hour workshops in the morning.

We will have three different break-out sessions running in parallel, for you to choose according to what is most important for your organisation at the moment. Topics include making supported placements good value for money & creating a meaningful volunteering programme with the support of Shaw Trust, and a masterclass in social enterprise by Furniture Resource Centre.

There are more speakers and sessions to be confirmed, but we hope this will give you a taster of what is to come!

As with previous years, you are welcome to join us the night before the conference begins on Tuesday 30th April for a relaxed and informal evening. Reuse Network staff and trustees will be on hand to meet you, and we’ll be having a BBQ providing the weather doesn’t let us down (we’ll still have food indoors if it does rain).

Award applications are now closed

Applications for this year’s awards ceremony are now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination. We will be shortlisting, notifying nominees and announcing the final three in each category in the coming weeks, as well as opening the vote for Reuse Organisation of the Year.

This year’s awards are kindly being sponsored by DHL.
