2023 Annual Conference

The Reuse Network Annual Conference is a time to celebrate successes, come together to collaborate and create change through forward-thinking.

Our flagship event is back for 2023! The Reuse Network Annual Conference will be making its way up north this year and we are delighted to be hosting the event at The Midland Hotel in Manchester on Tuesday 10th October 2023.

This conference will be an opportunity to discuss the critical issues facing the sector, explore burgeoning opportunities and learn from leaders in the sector who are innovating to create change for their community.

The economic, social and environmental sectors are facing rapid change, each bringing its own set of unique challenges and possibilities. As a sector, we have demonstrated that reuse can be a viable solution, supporting those in need whilst creating a landscape in which everyone, no matter their situation, can create a sustainable home. As leaders in this space, it is up to charity reuse organisations to shape the sector and ensure it is working for us and our people.

We want to share new ideas and discuss the forward-thinking that keeps you all as network leaders of the reuse sector. We’ll be hearing from a wide range of speakers including Reuse Network members, business leaders, government, and more.

Thank you to our sponsors this year for making this event possible:

The conference is being held at:

Why attend?

This conference is the only conference dedicated to reuse and reuse charities in the UK. Our members provide essential and affordable reused furniture, electrical items and household goods to alleviate poverty and tackle climate change.

If you want to hear from organisations working on the frontline of reuse as well as industry influencers and policymakers, with a mix of environmental, societal, and economic topics this is the event to come to!

What happens on the day?

On Tuesday 10th October, registration will commence at 8.30AM with the conference kicking off at 9.30AM. We will have a full day of discussion, ConverStations, and networking. An Exhibitors’ Hall will be found in the coffee and break area, and you will have multiple opportunities to speak directly with our exhibitors about their products and services.

Following the conference, you will have some time to unwind and relax before our Drinks Reception at 7PM followed by our Gala Dinner at 7:30PM, Awards Ceremony at 9PM and entertainment.

All members are invited to join us the night before on Monday 9th October from 7PM for a relaxed and informal evening of dinner and networking. The Reuse Network team and Trustees will be on hand to meet you, and an informal dinner will be provided in a private dining room.

We are proud to announce our 2023 programme featuring presentations from leading experts in the fields of marketing, funding, social value and more.

The Reuse Network Awards aim to recognise, celebrate and motivate performance within our sector and among our members. We will be shortly opening applications to our awards.  Awards applications are open to Reuse Network members only.

This year’s awards are kindly sponsored by Viridor, and are a real opportunity to celebrate the incredible organisations, volunteers, staff and projects that continued to thrive.

The awards that are up for grabs this year are Volunteer of the Year, Innovative Project of the Year and Reuse Organisation of the Year. We can’t wait to recognise our members at the prestigious ceremony.

Three fully-funded bursary spaces are available to member organisations with a turnover of £200,000 or less and covers the cost of a 1-day conference ticket, plus gala dinner and an overnight stay at the conference venue.

Further information will be released soon.

We are hugely excited to welcome eBay as our Headline Sponsor for the Reuse Network Annual Conference this year. Thanks to this continued support we are able to bring together the reuse sector once again.

Our long-term partners and collaborators Currys and DHL Envirosolutions will be returning to the Reuse Network Conference as sponsors once again. Our Gala Dinner and Drinks Reception is one of the highlights of the conference, and a chance for new and old friends to socialise whilst forming new partnerships and collaborations, all whilst taking some time to relax after a busy day of idea-sharing and networking.

Willow (an AT Solutions brand) – Networking Dinner Sponsor

Our networking dinner takes place the evening before the conference and is an opportunity for delegates to catch up and network in a more intimate setting. We are excited that Willow is sponsoring the Networking Dinner this year and is helping make this event possible.

Viridor – Awards Sponsor

This year’s awards are kindly sponsored by Viridor, and are a real opportunity to celebrate the incredible organisations, volunteers, staff and projects that continued to thrive.

Courtesy of Viridor, the three shortlisted nominees for ‘Volunteer of the Year’ will be invited to attend the conference and Gala Dinner, and stay overnight, free of charge and will get to find out who the winner of the award is, in person. It is with thanks to Viridor’s sponsorship that these volunteers will get to experience the conference for themselves.

Utility Aid – Bursary Places Sponsor

We are delighted to have Utility Aid as our Bursary Places Sponsor this year. Through its sponsorship of the conference, Utility Aid has made it possible for three Reuse Network members to attend the conference who may not have had the opportunity to attend without the available bursary places.
