About the role

FRADE were founded back in 1990 and became a registered charity in 1993. The organisation has grown significantly since those early days working out of a local Stockton Councillor’s garage, and is well respected locally and nationally.

FRADE have ambitious plans for the future and recognise the need to diversify our income streams to ensure that it can sustain the organisation and allow it to continue to support its local community needs.

As Chair, you will lead the Board of Directors and work with the CEO and staff to develop and implement the new strategic direction of the organisation as it moves into its new warehouse and distributions premises later this year.

The Chair will ensure robust governance arrangements are in place, monitor the performance of the organisation and bring constructive challenge to influence decision making.

FRADE are looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm and the knowledge, skills and experience to help the charity in the next stage of its journey.

This is a voluntary role, however any reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred as a result of the carrying role as Board Member, will be reimbursed.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide visible and effective leadership and join a passionate and dedicated team with the community at its heart.
