Kudos – Business Development Executive

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a natural sales professional to generate higher levels of income for Kudos.  You will be communicating daily with customers and prospects in our retail verticals; charity, marine and caravan.

About the Role

  1. Generate leads for new business, we’ll support you with regular e-blasts and lots of tools through our CRM ACT and literature library
  2. Support field sales by communicating with existing leads and then, once you’re established, manage your own new business sales
  3. Talk to our customers, understand their needs, and provide them with new modules to better support their businesses


  • Contact non-customers
  • Managing assigned tasks through our CRM effectively; generating interest and progressing interest through the sales funnel
  • Contact customers
  • Setup programme for customer account reviews where appropriate, mix of face-to-face meetings and review calls.  Appoint relevant team member(s) (which will often include you) to the account and agree discussion topics and tools for the review and for sales of additional products and services.  Ensure review follow ups are managed effectively
  • Contact customers in line with up-selling e-blast campaigns
  • Liaise with Kudos support and development team – as required for understanding of new and existing software modules

Additional responsibilities as required by the line manager or a Director of the company.

  • Communicate pricing and technical information accurately
  • Build a good working relationship with the commercial team and everyone else within the company

This is a full time sales role with £21,000 basic PA, £29,000 OTE

Commission structure is:

15% 1st year’s annual direct fees

15% margin on first year’s annual fees for integrated card processing

4% hardware and services

The above is applied at managers discretion for ‘up-selling’ to existing customers and for sales to new customers.  This wouldn’t apply for example to an existing customer who is opening a new shop and replicating what they have in their existing shops

Finders fee for new opportunities, value as agreed on a campaign-by-campaign basis
